Cheminement académique

Cécile Bulle est professeure en immobilier durable au département de stratégie et responsabilité sociale et environnementale de l'École des sciences de la gestion de l'UQÀM. Elle a obtenu son Ph.D. en génie chimique à Polytechnique Montréal en 2007. Elle est cotitulaire de la Chaire internationale sur le cycle de vie, la principale unité de recherche du CIRAIG, le Centre international de référence sur le cycle de vie des produits, procédés et services, qui est l'un des centres de recherche les plus reconnus mondialement en matière d'analyse du cycle de vie. Elle fait également partie du comité de direction du CIRODD (Centre interuniversitaire en opérationnalisation du développement durable). Ses intérêts de recherche sont la consommation responsable, l'immobilier durable, la modélisation des impacts du cycle de vie et l'opérationnalisation de l'Analyse du cycle de vie à l'échelle des communautés (quartiers durables etc¿) et des individus. Elle enseigne l'analyse du cycle de vie et l'immobilier durable et dirige actuellement le projet IMPACT World+, un projet majeur impliquant plusieurs équipes de recherches à travers le monde pour développer la toute première méthode d'évaluation des impacts du cycle de vie régionalisée. Elle dirige le volet Québécois du projet Cost to coast financé conjointement par le FRQ et l'ANR qui vise à développer et à rendre opérationnelle une approche intégrative adaptée au suivi du développement territorial des zones maritimes, estuariennes et côtières, tout en préservant les écosystèmes et les services qu'ils fournissent, et sans promouvoir l'externalisation des impacts vers d'autres lieux géographiques. Elle a de plus participé à plusieurs groupes de travail dans le domaine du cycle de vie, notamment sous l'égide de l'initiative sur le cycle de vie du PNUE et a participé à l'encadrement d'une soixantaine d'étudiants aux cycles supérieurs au cours de sa carrière.
